When I first read Coach Danielle’s email to the team that gave our schedule for convention, I was a little overwhelmed.  We are learning eight dances in two days?! I immediately knew that I would be packing lots of Ibuprofen, snacks, and Icy-Hot!

On the first day of convention, I was so excited to see all of the other pro teams that were attending and what the choreographers had in store for us.  There were teams from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and of course the LTD’s representing the NLL!

Our schedule for the weekend consisted of two days of dancing, beginning at 8:30am and ending at 4:30pm, and learning four dances a day. I learned a variety of routines from several different and amazing choreographers.  My dances ranged from novelty, to jazz-funk, to lyrical hip-hop. I loved all of my routines and I loved watching my teammates and fellow dancers perform.  Of course I enjoyed spending more time with my team, but personally I gained so much from the All P.R.O convention.  Beyond the athleticism and stamina that it takes to continually learn dances in different styles and perform them, I was truly inspired by being in a room full of women who share the common love of dance.  The convention motivated me to try my best and learn from each dancer and choreographer.  By the end of the weekend, we all were incredibly sore but it was so worth it. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to attend this convention and I plan on using the knowledge and skills that I gained to prepare for auditions!

As the All P.R.O. dance convention was approaching, I was so eager to start the six hour trek up to Atlanta with the other Lady Titan Dancers! We were ready with our boots and rhinestones to strut it at the two day All P.R.O dance convention! The convention was a chance for professional dance teams to mingle and learn the latest choreography from directors in the industry. We were anxious to learn new routines that would be used at our Titans home games in our upcoming second season!

The convention started with the unveiling of the Sideline Distraction magazine, including our very own Marissa as a featured dancer! After a group warm-up, the dancing finally began. Besides learning group routines, members from each squad were split up into dance classes to learn a variety of choreography. Routine styles ranged from Kickline, Country, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, and more! Each dancer learned a total of four routines per day. After each class, dancers grouped together to watch and cheer on the other dancers performing the routine they had just learned. The LTD’s could definitely hold their own among the wide range of dance teams from leagues such as the NBA, NHL, and NFL to name a few, but this convention was not of competitive nature. All the ladies enjoyed meeting and bonding with the diverse group of talented and friendly dancers. New vendors and established favorites such as our team costume creator, The Line Up, could also be found at All P.R.O.

I know I speak for myself and the other LTD’s to say we are proud of the donation we made to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure foundation which came from a portion of our convention fundraising proceeds!  I’m really looking forward to next season so we can share our fabulous new routines with our fans! At the end of the day, nobody had to ask “Who are we?” The Lady Titan’s had made their presence known!

Even though the Titans season had officially come to an end, the Lady Titan Dancers still had something to look forward to. After months of seeing one another 2-3 times/week it was bitter sweet to get together one last time as the inaugural Lady Titans dance team. The LTD’s had voted for each other for awards prior to the banquet. They were all anxious to see who won each award which consisted of anything from "Best Technique," "Most Dependable," and "Most Improved" to name a few. Two of the most covenanted awards were "Most Valuable Dancer" which was awarded to Kristin and "Lady Titan Dancer Of The Year" which was awarded to Danielle. Captains Missy and Michele were recognized for all their hard work going above and beyond and the LTD with the most promotional appearance hours, Danielle, was also recognized for her dedication. It was such a fantastic night as the LTD’s reminisced the memories from auditions in Oct. to the final playoff game in May.

After the regular season home games had ended the LTD's and fans were not ready for the season to be over. The team wasn't ready either and proved to be strong enough to hold a spot in the NLL Playoffs. The LTD's were excited to cheer on the Titans and support them all the way to Finals. The Titans had home field advantage in round one of the playoffs as they put up a 'W' against Boston. The second round of playoffs would be hosted in Orlando v. Toronto Rock. The Lady Titans danced their hearts out knowing that any of these playoff games could be their last. They anxiously watched as the Titans gave it all they had. After a tough fight in the 1st half the Titans fell to the Rock 15-10.  At the sound of the buzzer at the end of the fourth, just like that, the season was over. As the LTD's headed to the field for our last meet and greet the end became a reality all too fast. We laughed, we cried, we reminisced and for the last time as the inaugural Lady Titan Dance Team we did our team cheer huddled in a circle center field.
